With the boat load of mariachi-Mexicana music in this episodes, the other song choice were spot on. Jesus choice of Adoniz’s As Soon as I get Home was cheesy sounding, which matches the tacky nature of the date he set up. Matthew Mayfield’s Safe and Sound was just PERFECT for Stef’s moment when she cries as she thinks about the baby she and Lena just lost… it is not as obvious of a choice as Ed Sheeran’s Small Bump, but the melody, lyrics and everything added much more pow to this emotional scene. I also quite liked Photograph by Brandon Walker. It is quite mediocre but a nice end to the episode and the Callie & Stef scene.
What do you think of the tear-jerking music this emotional episode? Did it pull your heart strings? Or do you have better song choices in mind? Do comment and share your Fosters inspired playlist/music which you think fits this episode if you have any! 😉
